Mr. Andrew Lavender is a Specialist Knee Surgeon at Knee Surgery Manchester. His entire elective practice is devoted to treating knee problems and knee pain.
Mr. Lavender has been a consultant knee surgeon since 2002, where he initially worked in Scarborough, North Yorkshire providing specialist knee treatment and services for the local population; many of which had only previously been available at regional specialist centres. In 2008, he moved to become part of the Knee Unit at Stepping Hill Hospital, in Stockport, which has allowed him to develop his knee practice further, undertaking more complex cases of knee pain and knee problems and more extensive revision surgery, such as knee replacement and knee arthroscopy.
He trained in the Manchester region and undertook two internationally renowned knee fellowships. The first was in Melbourne, Australia, where he worked on sportsmen with ligament and cartilage injuries and the second at Wrightington Hospital, in Wigan, where he performed all forms of full and part knee replacements.
